Jodi and Brewer separated in 2006, and Jodi began dating Travis Alexander, an inspirational speaker and salesman. Alexander was a Mormon. Arias claims that they were instantly attracted to each other and started a relationship within a few days of meeting. She moved from California to Mesa, Arizona, in February 2007. In June of that same year, they ended their relationship. However, they continued to have regular sexual encounters. Alexander was accused of sexual and physical abuse.
